Travel from Nanaimo, on the east coast of Vancouver Island, to Ucluelet is about a 2.5 Hour trip, allowing for rest breaks. Ucluelet is about a 4-hour drive from Victoria. By car from the Mainland , BC Ferries (http://www.bcferries.com) provides sailings from the Mainland to Nanaimo from both the Horseshoe Bay and Tsawwassen terminals. The Horseshoe Bay terminal is in West Vancouver, on the way to Whistler. The Tsawwassen terminal is south of Vancouver, close to the US Border. If you are flying into YVR, the Tsawwassen terminal is a short drive south of the Airport. If you don’t want to drive you can fly into Tofino Airport – YAZ (https://www.tofinoairport.com/) on Pacific Coastal Airways (https://www.pacificcoastal.com/) and rent a car from Budget. Harbour Air (https://harbourair.com/) provides seaplane service from downtown Vancouver to Tofino Harbour.
